Tourism
Wich a rich mix of history, modern industry and entertainment this border city is truly unique. Noteworthy are its distinguised and refined tourist services colorful streets and abundance of handicrafts and shopping opportunities. Enjoy a meal at any one of the city´s famed restaurants serving up the best in mexican fare, spend a day at a spectacular rodeo, and head out on the town in the evening. City of Acuña also offers facilities great for a number of water sports.
So beautiful is the city that it has been used as a filming site for many successful international films.
International Bridge
This bridge functions as both a commercial and cultural interchange between Mexico and the United States. With four lines that connect with the U.S. city of Del Rio, the bridge is used daily by thousands of cargo trucks and passenger vehicles. There are also customs, immigration and Banjercito (National Bank of the Army) services.
Night Life
The night opens up a word of new entertainment options. Feel the excitement in any one of the city´s great nightclubs, grab a drink at a nearby bar or dance the night away at a dance club. Teh nighlife in Ciudad Acuña is one-of-a-kind, and attracts young and old alike, from all over the word.
Amistad Lake
This great marvel of engineering was constructed in 1969. Primarily serving as an electric generator, the lake is also a great place to spend an afternoon. Perfect for swimming, camping, diving and water skiing, the Lake and its facilities are sure to please. During the year, it also hosts internacional sport fishing tournaments.
